So this was one of my quick, small meals earlier today .. Ezekiel wrap (found in your grocery store freezer section), low sodium tuna (made with red onion, nonfat plain Greek yogurt), slivered almonds, greens & grape tomatoes !🍅

Fitness Challenge

I know this is NO BIG DEAL but I’m posting it for those people who like challenges & haven’t tried this yet. I saw Elizabeth Bland do it, then I saw Mindy Lawhorne and I just assumed I wasn’t strong enough since my first attempt was a disaster! But like anything, it’s about practice & I learned it’s more about positioning & BALANCE.

I don’t know if this resonates with you but…

What matters most..I’ve had to “diet down” for ballet when I was a teen & as an adult for fitness videos & on-stage appearances. There’s so much pressure associated with that… Pressure I put on myself and I hated that pressure (& I usually only lost 3-5 lbs anyway!).

Although I will ALWAYS strive to better my habits, my strength, my eating, I refuse to put any value on myself based on my physical appearance – good or bad. The people you care about MOST, just want to see you healthy & happy!

So do your best & choose to be grateful at EVERY stage.

If there’s anything you’ve learned from me, I hope it’s that.

Dad… You’ve taught us how to be courageous, lead by example, lead with integrity, “don’t let anyone tell you you’re NOT capable”, how to be entrepreneurs, how to be determined, have patience, stand up for what you believe in, do more than what’s expected of you, be honest, play fair, ride motorcycles, slalom ski, snow ski, & the list goes on! I cannot thank you enough for being the most awesome dad to me & most awesome Papa to our son!

Pretty Shakeology Shake!

I ate too much so far today & have had ZERO time to workout yet. This has been a busy & stressful day. Some forget to eat on days like this– but I have never been one to *forget to eat* or be too stressed to eat; quite the opposite for this girl! I’ve always been one to eat if I’m stressed, bored, happy, or sad. I eat healthy, I just sometimes graze nonstop. But I never give up on trying to develop better habits

superfood smoothieSo this is what I do to bring it under control. A superfood smoothie & lots of water!

It filled this jar twice!

RECIPE:
1.5 cups ice
1 cup Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/4 cup water
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1/2 half banana
1/4 cup blueberries
Add honey, agave or stevia if you like it sweeter
BLEND WELL

CIZE Salad

🍴I’m part of the CIZE test group & I’m following the meal guidelines (pretty similar to how I already eat). Feeling AWESOME so far!
I know the most FAQ will be “dressing?” so here’s the scoop on that (20 burpees if u don’t read): I used a light balsamic vinaigrette this time, store-bought;nothin special (instead of just red wine vinegar & oil). I felt this salad needed some help💥 given the lack of Feta that I love!😉 There’s nitrate-free, low sodium turkey breast & I ended up adding more ! 🙌

Do pictures of healthy food help?

One of my small meals today (and I washed it down with a piece of dark chocolate 🍫😉).
~350 calories (400 with chocolate) & ~30g protein💥
I know my meals are SUPER boring to most but this way of eating works for me because it’s easy & quick👍! This is just turkey burger (we grill a bunch 2x/week to put in stuff), avocado, tomato, & romaine on a LIGHTLY TOASTED (that’s key👌) Ezekiel English muffin ..all to be dipped in a mix of plain Greek Yogurt & Spicy Dijon mustard🙌
