Resisting the Urge to Splurge

Is it just me or do Thursday nights feel like a night to splurge?!

We often order pizza on Thursdays. Is it due to lack of groceries or the-weekend-is-almost-here feeling? Idk!

Tonight we decided to resist the urge to splurge & picked up Core Life Power Plates (its greens, hummus & falafel ).

Stadium Workout

Stadium workout with Jen Jen Dodgson Delvaux !! This is an awesome stair & strength workout ! Took us about 30 minutes for 2 rounds bcuz we did have a lil teeny tiny break between each thing ☺

REPEAT 🙌🏻

Nutrient Packed Chocolate Greens

Love the Nike Epic React so much that I bought another pair👟. They’re running shoes tho🏃‍♀️! I was too sore to film a HIIT workout for you today, sorry! I needed LISS not HIIT.

And yes, I still drink shakeO daily! I get asked all the time. I never want my followers to think I’m trying to sell, but I also need to share what I do & what helps me☝🏼😉

This is just truth.

There are at LEAST 7-10 times in my week where I need to eat but I just don’t have the energy at that moment, or maybe the time, or maybe the groceries (like on a Saturday when we haven’t grocery shopped yet) & if it weren’t for these nutrient packed chocolate greens, I’d probably go off track, say “screw it” & grab whatever is quick & comforting!

But having this handy over the past several years has made it easier to keep my mindset, my weight & my health in check long term. I thought it was too expensive before I did my research….

I just thought it was a fancy protein drink☺!

Now I understand it & know the benefits I see ..and feel. And it tastes like a dessert to me #addedbonus 🙌🏼 Now I know we as a family can’t afford NOT to drink it daily #DoubleNegativeNecessary

Attitude of Gratitude and Success

I’m sitting here enjoying the weather with my pups & reading texts🤓 and messages from my fitness coaches I mentor.

If there’s anything GLARINGLY obvious about those who WILL or HAVE become successful in this business versus those who won’t until they work on personal development, it’s the 🙏🏻attitude of gratitude🙏🏻.

Those who end up becoming successful are the ones who thank you for your time😘, they compliment others even on the really small things🙌🏼, they look for ways they can serve more & better, they use happy emoji’s😁💃🏼to express positivity in their words, they don’t ask “how can this business serve me? prove it” they say “i will use this business as a vehicle to serve others & i’ll prove i’m capable”

To be successful with ANYTHING your mindset will matter most☝🏼

Busy busy Monday so I returned some text messages in between intense spinning intervals🚴🏻‍♂️ & fit in listening to our weekly Coach National Wake-Up training👩‍💻 while lifting💪🏼

Multi-tasking is NOT ideal 😆☝🏼.. especially if it involves me cooking🤦🏼‍♀️, but hey, we do what we can WHEN we can, right?! Just don’t text & drive.

Mom and Grandma (Happy Mother’s Day)

Grateful for my mom who’s ALWAYS been there for me & has taught me more than words can express and my grandma (who just turned 93 & is still as funny & hip as ever! )

Chocolate Almond Butter Bites

If I’m going to eat later in the evening, I *try* to make sure it has high nutritional value & is low glycemic/low sugar. This recipe is so simple & these are AMAZING.

Nothing Grows in Your Comfort Zone

I love that new programs force me to work my muscles from different angles and getting out of my habits of doing just my *favorite* stuff!

The fact that our bodies adapt so quickly to things is a double-edged sword   On the one hand, it’s our body’s way of saying “I’m stronger for you now, I got your back!” and on the other hand it’s saying “but can we just be satisfied & get comfortable here?”

It’s true that nothing grows in your comfort zone I know you KNOW that but we are stubborn & need reminding, right???

BCAAs to Maximize Workout Results

I’ve been talking to a bunch of you in DM’s about BCAAs to maximize results from your workouts. There are SO many different BCAA products on the market.

The one I use has my protein BCAAs combined since I want both post-workout anyway.

What’s your go-to brand?? Does it have dyes and other artificial ingredients?

Does it have Artificial sweeteners that cause insulin spikes (& therefore increasing cravings). Are there dyes? Sooo many of the popular and cheap ones do

Check the label. Don’t risk your health just to save money or get results faster …it’s not only NOT worth it, it’s not necessary. There are products with clean ingredients. They may be more expensive but that could save you HUGE in the long run.
