Pre-workout Snack

What’s your favorite pre-workout snacks or afternoon treat?

This is half of an Ezekiel muffin, toasted (at most grocery stores -freezer section), with organic Just Great Stuff chocolate powdered Peanut Butter (found online) and banana slices (obviously). Or I do raspberries!

If I have an hour or so to digest before the intensity begins, this will do it. But ideally, I eat two of these and give 2-3 hours to digest and drink water.

I like E&E with lemon-flavored “Crystal Light Pure” in it or my coffee before a workout. I’m not saying this is what YOU should do, everyone has different needs, tastes and goals:).

Stay Consistent

It’s easy to make changes for a day, maybe a week, but can you stay consistent thru the “rough spots?”

In other words, when the going gets tough, do you cave or do you get tougher? Shut down the negative/weak voice and train your brain into a HABIT of positive thinking and mental toughness.

Be the Best Version of You

In other words “do YOUR best & forget the rest.” Is that a Tony Horton P90X quote? Regardless, I like it! But that said, don’t underestimate your full potential either. Put yourself to the test…we’re capable of so much more than we realize.

Flexed and Relaxed

Are you afraid to lift heavy? Girlfriends, if you don’t like the LOOK of muscle, fear not, it’s not like you’ll be walking around flexing (I might though!). Commit to improving your nutrition, commit to progress, commit to positive self-talk, and pay more attention to the weight on your barbell, not the weight on your scale.

Addicted to Fitness

We’re not exactly looking our best here after today’s KILLER workout and I’m not happy that I didn’t fully flex …BUT it’s a rare occasion…Matt posed with me!! I feel blessed we have BOTH stayed addicted to the fit lifestyle all these years:)

No Excuses

When Jen Delvaux and I realized the hotel fitness room was packed this morning, we hit the stairs!! 14 floors, 6 times! Just enough time for the fitness room to clear so we could get our lift on.

Feeling Younger than Ever

Yup! It’s my birthday and I feel younger than ever! Counting my many blessings!!!

Hollowbacks and Shakeology

Jen Delvaux and I had a choice …go out to dinner? Or have Shakeology and practice hollowbacks? Shakeology and hollowbacks… HANDS DOWN (literally).

Handstand Fun

Kangoo’ing

Waiting for Chalene Johnson to do some PiYo with me and @turbobff after we went Kangoo’ing along the boardwalk. Kangoo’ing reduces impact on the joints. It’s kinda like running on a trampoline but the weight of the Kangoos and having to lift your legs higher when you run, makes it an intense but FUN workout 😉
