Pretty Shakeology Shake!

I ate too much so far today & have had ZERO time to workout yet. This has been a busy & stressful day. Some forget to eat on days like this– but I have never been one to *forget to eat* or be too stressed to eat; quite the opposite for this girl! I’ve always been one to eat if I’m stressed, bored, happy, or sad. I eat healthy, I just sometimes graze nonstop. But I never give up on trying to develop better habits
So this is what I do to bring it under control. A superfood smoothie & lots of water!
It filled this jar twice!
RECIPE:
1.5 cups ice
1 cup Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/4 cup water
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1/2 half banana
1/4 cup blueberries
Add honey, agave or stevia if you like it sweeter
BLEND WELL

I know the most FAQ will be “dressing?” so here’s the scoop on that (20 burpees if u don’t read☺): I used a light balsamic vinaigrette this time, store-bought;nothin special (instead of just red wine vinegar & oil). I felt this salad needed some help💥 given the lack of Feta that I love!😉 There’s nitrate-free, low sodium turkey breast & I ended up adding more ! 🙌

~350 calories (400 with chocolate) & ~30g protein💥
I know my meals are SUPER boring to most but this way of eating works for me because it’s easy & quick👍! This is just turkey burger (we grill a bunch 2x/week to put in stuff), avocado, tomato, & romaine on a LIGHTLY TOASTED (that’s key👌) Ezekiel English muffin ..all to be dipped in a mix of plain Greek Yogurt & Spicy Dijon mustard🙌

This omelet has 5 servings of egg whites (120 calories & 25g protein) + 1 full egg 🍳+ baby spinach🍃+ sliced sweet peppers😋+ salsa + avocado👌. In total, it’s about 300’ish calories, high protein, low glycemic index (low sugar), & filling! 🙌✨

Spring Mix 🍃
Pre hard boiled eggs🐓
Light Tuna 🐟
Grape tomatoes 🍅

10 Tips

***Here are 10 tips that helped me stick to it:
1. After eating a small meal, get out of the kitchen. Your body needs time to digest & realize it’s been fed!
2. Continually work to drink more water
3. Have a ballpark awareness of calories and macro’s MY particular body needs to gain muscle yet still burn fat (this took trial & error)
4. With your eating & workout weaknesses, aim for progress each day, not perfection
5. Ignoring the scale & paying attention to how I look and feel; how i’m performing in my workouts and the new habits i’m forming.
6. Becoming a Coach and making fitness & health my career
7. Transitioning the family to healthier options so I wasn’t alone
8. Curbing snacking/splurges (shakeology)
9. Doing workouts with variety and workouts I enjoy!

Daily Salad Challenge in a Wrap

Btw, this has Spring Mix, avocado, salsa, turkey burger, sweet peppers, and I dipped it in nonfat-plain Greek yogurt (pretending to be Sour Cream )
Berry Salad for the DailySaladChallenge

For the dressing, I just mashed some raspberries, with water, a little evoo, & stevia (I’m not one that knows all these crazy but yummy dressing recipes; if it takes more than a few minutes & ingredients, I’m out). I’m sure you can see what’s in this but in case not, it’s Spring mix, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, pine nuts & reduced fat feta (because I love feta!)
