Forget the Labels!

I think most of you already know this.. but I still sometimes hear people say things like “well I’ll never have –[nice abs, lean thighs, strong calves, etc] due to my genetics”.. Well genetics DO play a role in where we have our trouble spots, but with nutrition, cardio & lifting.. I think you would be pleasantly surprised with the body you can build! But more importantly, the discipline you learn & the confidence you gain! If your family isn’t into it, don’t give up on them either .. some start to come around! So go for your goals & forget the “labels” you’ve placed on yourself or the labels others have placed on YOU.

Do More

I dare you to challenge yourself TODAY to do a little more than you normally do. When I workout, even if i’m DOGGIN’ it, I still feel like it’s challenging, ..but don’t let that you fool you into believing you can’t or shouldn’t try to DO MORE… up your weights today, or do a few more reps or sets, increase the speed of your run, or hit rewind on the HIITs.. test your perceived limits today! 🙂

New Normal

I set a new “normal” run pace today! If you don’t specifically chip away at your comfort zones & bad habits, you won’t move forward. Pave a new “normal” for yourself while raising the bar for others!

New Toys!

New toys arrived!! As far as “toys” go is there anything better to spend your money on than that which gets you fit? Thanks for the inspiration Chalene & Bret !

Fitness+Nutrition+Support=Success

I’m probably preaching to the choir here but I’m still hearing a few say they want to lose fat before they start lifting heavy and intensely. What!?!? Cleaner eating + Adding muscle + Mixing up your cardio (and doing HIIT workouts) + Support/Accountability (so that you can be CONSISTENT in those areas), is what will get you the best and leanest results…that LAST! Figure out what pieces of the puzzle you’re missing, if any, and take action. Oh, and please spread the word…would ya?!? 🙂

No Regrets

Most people I know, me included, have a BUSY weekend ahead.. So make sure you plan when you will workout… Same for your eating plan-stay on track as much as possible while still having a good time.. Just be smart 🙂 No regrets come Monday.. K?

Go Heavy

Alrighty? I mean seriously…you should be SHAKING when you’re done! I of course recommend CLX and hybrid it with TF or running or your favorite cardio 🙂

Be YOU!

I heard this years ago & it really made me realize the people at the top of their game are ALWAYS are faced with this truth.. but they are where they are because they didn’t let it hold them back!

Progress Pictures

Do you take progress picturess?!? It’s REALLY a sure way to see your progress since the scale is really not the best measure of strength/muscle gains/lowered body fat. BUT use similar angles/lighting & outfits 🙂

Workout Gear Matters!

Hopefully this doesn’t sound shallow but if you workout with mirrors, there’s NO DOUBT your outfit can affect your workout, right?! When you like the way you look (& there’s no doubt certain clothes are more flattering than others… doesn’t have to be expensive!), you have more positive thoughts & more positive self-talk, you perform better! Whether it be some new shoes or a couple new T-shirts.. Do that for yourself if you can! I usually teach a terrible class if my outfit is unflattering. If you only workout in your home gym and with no mirrors, maybe this is irrelevant to you but I DO recommend mirrors for form check.
