Just START

Right?!?! I hear it all the time & I say it too.

I could literally put as part of my bio “this week is nuts” and it would always be true☺️💯

But let’s stop kidding ourselves.. when we tell ourselves “I’ll start once things slow down” ..I mean things CHANGE yes, but usually life is NOT gonna slow down. There’s ALWAYS unexpected twists & turns.

☝🏼So just START.

It’s like having a baby.. are you ever REALLY ready for that life change? (don’t answer that if you’re 39 weeks pregnant & losing sleep ☝🏼😂) But otherwise, no. But we MAKE time for what’s important to us☝🏼😉

Am I right, or am I right?!

Would you do this workout?

Would you do this one?? Intensity is controlled by YOU:
.
3 ROUNDS OF:

1. 3 min run (70-80% max speed)
2. 30 kettlebell swings
3. 15 decline pushups
4. 30 toe touches on step
5. 15 kettlebell push jerks ea arm
6. 30 up, up, down, down stair runs
7. 15 tricep dips or tricep pushups
.
Took me about 25 min. That 3rd Round was SLOW for me 😅 You doin it???

Warm up for the warm up?

☝🏼😳When you have to warm up for the warm up, you know the workout is another level 🔥🔥🔥

Workouts aren’t just calorie and fat burners.. they’re MENTAL challenges, personal development and therapy wrapped into one gift you can give yourself daily 🎁

Am I right or am I right ?! 🙌🏼😁

Nothing Grows in Your Comfort Zone

I love that new programs force me to work my muscles from different angles and getting out of my habits of doing just my *favorite* stuff!

The fact that our bodies adapt so quickly to things is a double-edged sword   On the one hand, it’s our body’s way of saying “I’m stronger for you now, I got your back!” and on the other hand it’s saying “but can we just be satisfied & get comfortable here?”

It’s true that nothing grows in your comfort zone I know you KNOW that but we are stubborn & need reminding, right???

To workout or call it a rest day?

To workout or call it a rest day?
Lets look at the Pro’s & Con’s as maybe you have a similar list?

PRO’S: I’ll feel accomplished, I’ll relieve stress, I can get it done in under 30min, I’ll work off some of last night’s pizza, I’ll stay accountable to my fitness group I’m coaching, I’ll workout in the fresh air, I’ll feel especially deserving of my chocolate PB shake afterwards, I’ll have no regrets.

CON’S:

Let your purpose be bigger than your fear

I’ve come to learn some people don’t start in business (or other new venture) because they don’t want to be seen as a beginner.

They’re used to being comfortable or advanced/successful in what they do.

Learning something new is always awkward at first & the fear of what others will think while watching the early stumbles, is paralyzing for many.

The ONLY way I know to break free from that is to decide your purpose is bigger than your fear of judgement.

As Dr Seuss said “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”

Team Workout!

Started the day off with a team workout!

Are you ever resistant to being a part of a team because you don’t want to let others down??

I get it!

I was one of the weakest girls, if not THE weakest, on our team today but when you “level up” & play with the big kids in sports/business/life, you start to establish a “new normal” you never knew was in you!

That’s why I love it when something challenges me !! ( except annoying challenges ..like 150 Burpees for time )

We cannot take our health or life for granted

Sooo sore today from doing my own leg day workout (search #jenelleslegday on IG) with Jen yesterday that when I did Turbo 40, I had to force myself to make it thru even 20 minutes & then I figured that was good enough cardio for the day.

I just wanted to at least be warmed up enough to do a massive stretch sesh. My glutes felt like they had metal plates in them & my legs felt like bricks.

I wanted to stop 5 minutes in but then I thought of all the exercisers out there who are injured, handicapped, have genetic debilitating conditions, are recovering from something, etc & they fight thru it. So I just did what I could. I can only IMAGINE what some people go thru daily.

I talked to an incredible woman last night who suffers DAILY to do the most minor things, but she still modifies thru her BB workouts – such an inspiration! It’s like my dad, he lost his leg in a motorcycle accident; things we do daily will always be a struggle for him. But he doesn’t complain & he does SO much!

I’m just reminding myself & others, we really CANNOT take any part of our health or life for granted. It’s true that what you take for granted daily, someone else is praying for.
