Something is Better than Nothing

Didn’t get to finish my workout today.. only fit in 25 minutes BUT that doesn’t bother me. I don’t think it should bother YOU to shorten a workout if you have to either.

Something is better than nothing to keep your head in the game!

I personally think too many people don’t do a workout or finish a program because they get an all or nothing mentality.

How about we do our best and do better next time

Do whatever promotes consistency for you so your habits create a lifestyle

Ab Circuit

Ok, so I did a poll & almost 100% said yes to wanting an Ab Circuit. So here it is!

But 3 things I want to say in CASE someone isn’t aware…

Strength training your abdominal muscles does not make you lose fat there. But those muscles DO show as you reduce body fat. Some people gain weight more easily in their abdomen, making a 6-pack a bit harder, whereas others may gain their weight more easily elsewhere. It’s a genetic thing (be grateful for what you have because God gave you something someone else wishes they had; you just may need to uncover it!) but the bigger reason to train your core is because you NEED a strong core for practically everything you do! Plus, the more muscle you have on your body, the higher your metabolism ..among other health & aesthetic benefits.

Always warm up first by mimicking the movements you’ll do but with less intensity/weight & speed.

We’re ALL at different points on our journey, all have differing muscle endurance and strength AND have differing limitations so always modify as needed. For example, with weighted Russian twists, some may use a heavier med ball whereas others may put their feet down & use NO med ball as they rotate side to side with control.

Upper Body Workout with Strength Circuit

A quick, mostly upper body, cardio with strength circuit you can add before or after your lift.

Are you able to finish 3 rounds while still keeping good form & control on everything? Let me know if you might try it

Different Body Types Respond Differently

I’m doing the new BB program & my glutes are SORE today …I upped my weights to 25lb dumbbells on the Deadlifts & sumo squats though! I love to be sore!

But today I’ll focus on a little cardio & arms! Btw, and I’m sure you already know this, but there are different body types (ectomoroh, mesomorph & endomorph are commonly used categories) & usually you’re not an EXACT MATCH for 1 group or it’s hard for you to tell because you’re a mix of 2 types. But for anyone trying to achieve a certain look, I think it’s important to understand how each body type responds differently to certain meal plans & training regimens.

Girls’ trip departure workout

The girls trip departure workout this morning was 1 minute of 5 exercises, 3 rounds through !

1. Speed Skaters
2. Quick Toe taps on a step
3. Ab rollers
4. Mountain Climbers
5. Thrusters as shown (with a weight that is challenging to do for a minute without breaks)

4 Rounds – Quick Cardio Interval

Quick Cardio Interval :

4 ROUNDS OF 4 EXERCISES:

20 Burpees w/25lb plate (it rests on another 25lb plate)
20 Speed Skaters (right + left = 1)
20 Dumbbell Thrusters (I used 20’s)
20 Weighted Sumo Squat Jumps

Be sure to warm up first!!

You could add it after your strength training workout for quick cardio.

It’s 4 Drills (Bench hops, Jumping Runners Lunge, Side Step w/Resistance & Lateral Raise, & Frog Burpees) for 1 minute each, 4 rounds of that

For me, it’s my preworkout & putting on great music! FitRadio (the Hip Hop genre, or R&B, or Top 40 are my favorites on there )! Just re-select the genre if you don’t like the playlist that’s going to play & it will take you to a different DJ mix
