Leg Day workout

You game for this🏻???

Matt & I did these as supersets so there were no breaks in between. We ended up doing 3 sets of everything (8-16 reps depending on weight & exercise) and it took us about an hour:

Cable leg lifts
• Hip thrusts on bench
• Weighted Bulgarian Split Lunges
• Hamstring curls w/ball
• Weighted Step ups
• Romanian Deadlifts
• Weighted Squats (not shown)
• Speed Skaters (not shown)
• Weighted Sumo Squats (not shown)
• Weighted Hamstring Curl (not shown)
• Weighted Leg Extensions (not shown)
• Crawling out of homegym (not shown)

I usually do this once a week + about HALF of it once a week, but have been out of my leg day routine lately!
Feels GOOD to be back at it!🙌🏼

I Love To Hate This Workout

For the High Knee Jump Rope, right + left = 1.
For the Weighted Overhead Lunges, right + left = 2.

3 rounds only if you are using LIGHT weight or you’re modifying, or you’re advanced.
Know YOUR body & level
Be sure to warm up first, focus on form but avoid any breaks if you can.
Modify as needed.
Cooldown + stretch afterwards!

You Can’t Wait to be Motivated

I was NOT in the mood to workout this afternoon.. But that rarely stops me, especially if I just took a day off, which I did yesterday. I’ve been doing this‪ ‎fit life long enough to know, most of the time, you JUST DO IT whether you feel like it or not. It’s WAY too easy to find an excuse & if you allow your mind to go there, you’ll SURELY find an excuse!

Usually once I start, I’m ENERGIZED, but this time half way thru I felt sick to my stomach😷. I figured it must’ve been something I ate, so I chose to ignore it & finished a grueling leg workout + a lil ‪turbo. SO GLAD I FINISHED. I felt amazing afterwards! Whatever that nauseous feeling was, it disappeared 👍
Get addicted to that post-workout bliss & remember it when you’re trying to legitimize another day off🙇

Leg Circuit

How do you feel about this circuit??

You can sub in a 1-min run/sprint or 1-min front & back kicks instead of the Rower.

But this was my WOD earlier today in case you want to create a similar one today/tomorrow:

50 Alternating lunges w/25lb weight plate overhead

50 GHD sit-ups (or 30 reverse crunches as shown)

It took me about 18minutes. Then did a DEADLY ‪#‎legworkout . Now off to enjoy a ‪#‎FitMargarita & dinner w/Matt!

Kinda boring video ..I know.. but I wanted to show how these SLOW, controlled hamstring curls can be so effective if you really concentrate on isolating the muscle. I do 4 sets of 16 + 3-4 sets of ‪‎Romanian Deadlifts + 3-4 sets weighted hamstring curls.

My hamstrings are weak because I ignored them for YEARS plus I had a hamstring pull 2 yrs ago, so now it’s time to get to werrrrk!

I did sprints on the treadmill & wanted to do a ‪legday‬ too but only ended up having about 15 minutes for that before I was needed. I’m a mom first & foremost ..and lots of workouts don’t happen as planned.. It’s ok, ‪never give up‬ – just do what you CAN

5 exercises, 16-20 controlled reps (this is sped up) 3 sets!
I mixed in triceps in between sets (& I’ll post that too)
