Plan a way to make it happen. It won’t always pan out but don’t feel guilty when it does.

Just a gut check

Someone once commented “you can tell you’re sucking in” well..yahhhh, I always am contracting my abs in – it’s a good habit to contract your abs throughout your day! And yah, I contract when I look at myself in the mirror ..even when I’m all alone.

I say, let’s do what makes us feel good about ourselves & let’s not care what anyone thinks of that;they do not know our struggles & what we’ve overcome! I’m not trying to impress anyone but myself

As healthy as I try to eat when traveling, like this cute lil hotel meal from this weekend, it’s the lil out-of-norm extras that can add up & leave you feeling like you’re starting at square 1 again An unknowingly high sodium restaurant meal, a drink or two, a dessert you wouldn’t normally have, coffee stops.. little things add up. Don’t stress!!!  even though you may feel like you did.

Do the best you can to make smart choices you won’t regret, workout & get back on track ASAP. In fact, I highly recommend the 3-day Refresh. I’m ordering one today.

Forever 21 Leggings

Maybe everyone already does this? For lounging & sleeping, I love the soft cheap leggings from Forever 21 & then I just cut slits in them .

If you screw them up, at least you’re only out $10-$15

If you’re struggling to reach your goals…

Plain Greek yogurt sweetened with stevia + “Purely Elizabeth” pumpkin granola & Grilled Chicken Kale Salad.

BUT …here’s the thing, you can eat SOOO healthy but if you are doing any of the following, you may be struggling to reach your goals:

1. Picking/grazing without realizing it. Empty calories & mindless grazing can add up SO FAST & yet are easy to forget you ate them.

2. Consuming too much sugar. Some foods that DO have nutritional value, also have added sugar (check the sugar content on your yogurt, your energy bars, your cereal/oatmeal, your “skinny latte” (skim milk has 15g sugar)

3. Consuming alcohol too often. Of course you gotta enjoy life, just decide when it’s worth it since it significantly slows your metabolism until it’s out of your system & is obviously addictive.

4. Doing too much of the same workouts. Even though you still FEEL like it’s tough & you’re sweating, you’ve GOT to mix it up & create muscle confusion.

5. Eating too little OR too much. Typically you’re unaware that’s the problem. You can’t eat like someone else & expect to have their results. If you think this could be it, follow the Portion Fix meal plan (container system which takes your data into consideration) or IIFYM (=if it fits your macros). You don’t have to track calories or macros or measure your foods for the rest of your life, but it’s good to have SOME clue of portions and macro nutrient needs so you can develop lifelong habits around that knowledge. Some people do well eating intuitively, but most have to track things at least once in a while because our habits and our bodies DO change.

..just to name a few! Which one, if any, do you struggle with ?

OUTTA control appetite!

I had an OUTTA control appetite earlier today & had to really rein it in. Ever have that ?

Some days are just like that; I think it’s called human nature.

Be in tune with yourself

Sometimes I can wake up feeling SO lean, fit, strong and on my game ..and then end that same day feeling like I gained 5lbs & I’m all OFF my game, even though I’m totally ON my game. WHY?

Food sensitivities & even some fruits and veggies can really bloat you!

what triggers what. Commit to the journey, trust the process but don’t place all this crazy emphasis on the # on the scale, your abs, or your jeans feeling tight…you probably JUST washed them! The last minute you wore them they were all stretched out from the day! (I’m so guilty of all of forgetting that too)

Do you tan?

I avoid “real” tanning so I spray tan. But if I need a touch up, I like “Flawless” by Fake Bake (on Amazon).

I’ve tried Sephora’s St Tropez but didn’t like it as much.
